ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FREE LENGTH POLES

The pack includes:
Shaft + attached basket 1 pair
Stickers 2 pieces
Grip + attached strap 1 pair
Cup of glue 10 g 1 cup

Working instructions:

All new poles have a sizing template to help you locate the exact cutting point to achieve your desired pole length. Simply follow the instructions below. Remove the remainder of the sticker before installing the grip.

1. Measure the pole to the desired length and subtract the minus index required for the grip. E.g. a 170 cm pole with an Aero-grip is made by cutting the shaft to 164 cm (170 cm - 6 cm = 164 cm). The minus indexes of each grip are given on the bottom.

2. Tape around the shaft at area that cut will be made to prevent splinters. Cut the shaft by sawing carefully so that the fibers don’t tear.

3. Coat the shaft with hot liquid glue and press on the grip. PLEASE NOTE! The temperature of the glue is around 160° C.

4. After installing the grip, let the glue cool for about 5 minutes.

5. Apply the sticker directly under the grip with the Exel logo on the front side of the pole.

6. If you wish to remove a grip or a basket first warm it up to about 80–90° C using, e.g. hot water for approximately 5 minutes. Once the glue has softened you can simply remove the grip by pulling it straight.
