Exel baskets and ferrules are attached to the shaft with hot melt glue which softens up when warmed. This makes it possible to change broken or worn accessories.
Follow the instructions:
![]() |
| 1. Warm up the ferrule for a couple of minutes in hot water (from the tap). Pull off the ferrule – do not twist or you may damage the softened shaft. |
![]() | 2. Warm up the glue container very carefully on a hot stove or torch until the glue becomes liquid. Dip the end of the shaft in the glue. |
![]() | 3. Insert the shaft immediately into the ferrule as deep as it will go. Make sure that the wing part of the basket faces backwards. The pole should stand on its spike while the glue hardens. Remove glue flashes. The contents of a glue container will be sufficient for about three gluings. |
